2 Instrumental Teacher needed:

 

Youth Bands of Los Angeles is looking for an experienced Woodwind Teacher (Flute, Clarinet, Sax) AND a Brass (Trumpet and Trombone) for Fall 2018.  

 

Education and/or Experience

Applicants must hold a BA in Music on a primary Instrument.

 

Other qualifications

Teachers should also have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience on their instruments and have experience teaching students aged 10-16.

 

Details

We rehearse on Monday afternoons from 3:45-5:30 pm. We're very interested in those trained in Music Learning Theory, or other children's methods - Kodaly, Suzuki, Orff, Dalcroze, etc.

Compensation

Pay is $30-35 an hour, 2 hours a week, 30 weeks a year starting in September and running through the start of May. Individual lesson potential. We are housed on the campus of Pasadena Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, CA. Women and minorities are very encouraged to apply.
